Jason Lewis, award-winning explorer, author, and environmental champion will inspire at Geography in Action this autumn! He is credited by Guinness World Records as the first person to circumnavigate the Earth without using motors or sails: walking, cycling, and inline skating five continents, and kayaking, swimming, rowing, and pedaling a boat across the rivers, seas, and oceans. Since studying geography for A Level and at London University, he has also co-developed a range of outreach programmes addressing global sustainability issues.
Jason will tell us what being attacked by a crocodile, spending a year alone at sea, contracting blood poisoning and malaria, being held for espionage, and getting hit by a car can teach us about global sustainability!
