Engineering in Action: Pioneering aeronautical innovation

We have all dreamed of flying, but for Gravity Industries flight is an obsession. They have built an Iron Man-like suit that leans on an elegant collaboration of mind, body and technology.  Design Engineer and Additive Manufacture Lead at Gravity Industries, Sam Rogers will shed light on the approach Gravity has taken to the development of a pioneering human flight suit, with all the associated successes, failures and revelations. He will show how fundamental principles and engineering judgement can bring science fiction closer to reality.

Engineering in Action is a brand-new enrichment day for students in further education, which gives them an invaluable preview of life studying and working as an engineer. As well as seeing many routes into engineering, students will have the chance to quiz our experts in Q&A sessions after every talk.
