My journey into law – from LA Law to Bedford Row! Kizzy Augustin

Kizzy will introduce us to the legal industry – what it is like to work in law and how she manoeuvred her way through obstacles to reach the position of Partner in a top 100 London law firm. She will also be able to give you some tips on how to pursue a career in the law and navigate the different options available if you want to become a lawyer.

About Kizzy Augustin

Kizzy is a Health, Safety, Fire & Environmental Partner and Solicitor Advocate at Russell Cooke Solicitors. Her day job includes managing her team of lawyers as well as providing advice to a number of businesses and senior individuals on complying with health and safety / criminal regulatory law and representing them during police station interviews and court proceedings.

Work as a media lawyer: from celebs to social media! Felicity McMahon

Felicity will discuss her work as a media lawyer, dealing with matters from celebs and newspapers/TV to people suing one another over what’s been said on social media. She’ll also talk about her winding route to where she is now.

Felicity McMahon is a barrister at 5RB, specialising in media law. She deals with subjects including defamation, privacy, harassment and data protection. She previously worked for the Law Commission and Ministry of Justice and studied law in both the UK and Spain.
